Is there a simple solution to this that I'm overlooking? As an example...
Let's say I want to make a crouching animation. I know I want to drop the hip into a crouching stance, so I key the starting point for the hip at frame 0, and then drop it down at key 10. Everything is working as planned. And then while on frame 10, I decide I would like to rotate the foot, bend the back a little bit, move an arm, do some other random stuff, etc... Set the keys at Frame 10, good to go, right?
BUT...
Now if I want to set the starting keys at the start of the animation for all of those changes I made, my current solution is to select the foot, set a key. Select the back, set a key. Select every single thing I changed, one by one, and set the keys.
Is there a simple "Set the starting key for all of the items that have been modified so far" hotkey or something? I know I can hit "K" to set the keys on the current frame that have changed, but I'm not sure how to go back to the start, and set the starting keys without doing them one by one. I guess it makes sense since if I don't set the starting keys, then I'm ASSUMING the animations would just start with whatever animation is currently playing (such as running) and then automatically transition into the crouching pose, instead of forcing you to "stand up straight and then crouch" which is what would happen if I keyed everything at frame zero for the crouching animation... but... SOMETIMES I would like to be able to key everything at the start, for things like walk cycles or whatever else.
Are there any simple solutions that I'm overlooking?
NEVERMIND... I have a bad habit of finding answers right after I post questions...
CTRL+SHIFT+L Key all keyed dopesheet items (Key current pose)
That does exactly what I was looking for. I need to bookmark this link...
