Hello, this is my first post, I purchased Spine Pro last week and I really love the software, thank you esoteric software and thank you to the community as well.
So I have a question about skins. I've searched the forums for this question but I wasn't able to find the specific answer I seek...so here's my question:
I've created an unclothed avatar in Spine. I want to make the avatar's clothes customizable during runtime. For example, if there is a full peasant outfit (shirt, pants, shoes) and a regal outfit (shirt, pants, shoes), I'd like to be able to customize the clothes so that the avatar can wear a peasant shirt, a regal pair of pants and no shoes.
Should I:
- Make 2 entries under "Skins": a skin called "peasant outfit" and put the shirt, pants and shoes in that skin (I know how to do the skin placeholders, that is not the question); and another skin called "regal outfit" and put the shirt pants and shoes in that skin?
(Can any runtime code pick and choose only a shirt from a "peasant outfit" even though the shirt is located within a skin that has other pieces of clothing within it?)
OR
- Do I need to make 6 skins in the editor, namely separate skins for all 6 items? For example, a skin for "peasant shirt", a skin for "peasant pants", a skin for "peasant shoes", a skin for "regal shirt", a skin for "regal pants", and a skin for "regal shoes"?
(Again, I know how to make skin placeholders. I am asking if I need to make 6 entries under "Skins" in the "Tree".)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
