Can you try the following. Move the latest project out so it can't find it. You might have an image in there it's trying to load but fails on.
Please send us your spine.log as well. Refer to the bug posting guidelines to see where you can find it.

It seems Spine is unable to load a library it needs, it gets "Access is denied" instead. Shiu, can you reproduce this on Windows 8?
The C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Temp\ directory (and the rest of the directories in the error message) should be readable by the user. Maybe there is a permissions problem? If you go to that file and look at its properties, is it readonly?
Are there any instances of Spine still running in task manager?
A few users are getting this same error lately, I wonder what is going on with Windows 8..

Windows 8. Couldn't reproduce it by setting the files in that path read-only or not read-only.
Must be something else going on.

Managed to reproduce it by doing this:

To fix it I logged in with the administrator account and set full permissions on the libgdx<name> folder

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Look what is says under the user "mohamad" not "everyone". Everything should be set to allow. If that doesn't help try and see the permissions of the Temp folder itself. Might be other folders involved but Nate will be able to elaborate on that.

Thanks for the video. Very strange. I guess while permissions could cause the problem, for you it could be caused by something else. I'm looking into it.

Interestingly, we have two reports of this happening on Windows 7. I wish we could reproduce it.
It is strange that it works after you reinstall Spine, which doesn't delete the temp directory. Can you try deleting this directory:
C:\Users\mohamad\AppData\Local\Temp\libgdxmohamad\
I bet it still doesn't work after doing that, which would point to the problem being with the installation directory. Do any permissions there look strange?
Maybe try this:
1) Reinstall Spine.
2) Before running it, make a copy of the install directory (eg "Program Files\Spine").
3) Run Spine twice from the install directory, probably it crashes the second time.
4) Now run Spine twice from the copied directory. Does it work both times?
Another thing to try:
1) Run Spine twice, probably it crashes the second time.
2) Reboot.
3) Run Spine. Does it work? If so maybe something is locking a file Spine needs.
Yet another thing to try:
1) Install LockHunter.
2) Run Spine twice, probably it crashes the second time.
3) Right click this file and choose "What is locking this file?" from the menu:
C:\Users\mohamad\AppData\Local\Temp\libgdxmohamad\
This will show us what processes are locking the directory or any files in it.
4) Right click the install directory (eg "Program Files\Spine") and choose "What is locking this file?" from the menu. Does it show any processes locking it?
Also maybe you could try this:
1) Run Spine twice, probably it crashes the second time.
2) Right click Spine.exe, choose "Run as administrator". Does it work?
Sorry to give you so many things to try, but I'd really like to fix this. Thanks a lot for your help!

In Windows 8 the only true administrator account is the account called administrator. You can enable that through the command prompt. It's a terrible move by Microsoft. We'll see if we can figure out exactly what is causing it so you don't need to run as Administrator.

I guess Lock Hunter showed nothing locking the files?
It seems something goes wrong with permissions. Can you check the permissions on the installation directory?

I think I have fixed this. If the library can't be loaded it tries to load it from alternate locations. One of those is bound to work. Can you please try again?

Nate, did you accidentally include Events again or is this the actual thing in the Editor right now?
