  • Clicking with a Wacom Pen

Hello guys

I was wondering if anybody else has this issue: I usually work on a Wacom Cintiq or Tablet and sometimes find it difficult to click with the pen (especially everything involving shift/ctrl+click) - probably because it gets recognized as a dragged. I never noticed this in other programs (but that might be because most of them are optimized for wacom products)
Is that something that is up to Windows and the Wacom driver or is the drag sensitivity up to Spine? However I seem to be able to drag the mouse quite a lot and it still gets recognized as a single click.
Of course I can always switch to the mouse... I was just wondering.

Great software by the way! Hope everyone has a good day 🙂

I'm not sure why it has trouble, Spine uses a tap square, so it's shouldn't see it as a drag. Shiu, can you give it a try?

I have this same problem, using Cintiq Companion Hybrid.

I guess it's a low-priority problem but it exists and I wish a solution could be found at some point. Working with a pen switching from Photoshop and Spine pretty much sucks because of this and I often end up clicking things in Spine many times before it actually selects. And using Spine with mouse is awkward...
I have a faint feeling that this problem didn't exist a year ago. Either it's because I changed from Intuos to Cintiq or something else : O!

This might be a long shot but did you try disabling gestures in the pen preferences? I had similar problems until I switched them off.

which OS are you guys on ?
With Windows 8 and to some degree Windows 7 gestures in the pen preferences can cause some issues, most noticeable a small delay when the tip of the pen touches. Like trurlo mentions it can be sometimes be fixed by disabling gestures, but you can also try disabling the windows tablet service.
This problem isn't only happening in Spine. For example gestures need to be disabled if you want to use Adobe Acrobat's Ink signing feature. It's a driver issue that has been there for a long time 🙁

Exactly the same problem here, both with a Wacom Cintiq 24HD on OSX 10.10.4 and on a Wacom Intros 3 on OSX 10.10.4.

Yes, I've had this. Wacom finally did an update and enabled the option to turn off Windows Ink in the Wacom Properties panel. Fixed everything. I'm using Windows 8.1 (on a Surface Pro 3 and Intuos Pro)

I think wacom developers need to resolve this problem, I always need to switch from my wacom tablet to mouse to click.
