  • [Linux] - Spine launcher integrity check failed

Hello,

I recently did a reinstall of my PC, and when I went to try and reinstall my Spine Professional license, I had the same issue as this post:

Spine Launcher 4.2.12
Esoteric Software LLC (C) 2013-2024 | http://esotericsoftware.com
Linux amd64 6.8.4-arch1-1
ERROR: Integrity check failed:
ERROR: Integrity check failed:
ERROR: Spine has detected its files have been modified.
ERROR: Please reinstall Spine.

Running on 64-bit Arch Linux, with Hyprland desktop environment, so Wayland compositor.

Weird thing is, when trying out the trial version, the launcher does start up properly, and the program works fine.

I tried out two mirrors in case something went wrong with the upload, but both .tar.gz files have the same sha1 checksum: d34c5812bbb36641b14d9979fab77bd29fdd939c. The launcher.jar file has the checksum 2dc7c23040c1bf0930c15862027894777749e66f.

Do you have an idea of something that could have gone wrong?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

I am having the same issue with Kubuntu 22.04
I believe there is nothing special about the extraction process used (Ark)

Sorry about this! We are improving our process to ensure it doesn't happen again that we put up a bad build.

We've rolled the launcher downloads back to 4.2.11, so if you download again it should work.

Seems like it did the trick 🙂 thank you for the quick action!
