Doubts about the [folder] tag

Hello, guys! I have this folder tree:

My question is: Is there a way to tell the import PSD function to recognize a specific layer as being located in a folder other than the parent folder? I tried like a [!folder] tag, but it doesn't exist, hahaha.

In my picture, I duplicated each folder two times to set the first Rin HD content over the first Circulo HD folder but the second Rin HD content behind it.

However, to improve organization, I would like to add the Circulo HD folders inside the main Rin HD folder.

GuapoMan Hmmm, unfortunately I don't have much understanding of what the final state you want is. If I do an import with the configuration I see from your screenshot, it should look like this:

But do you mean you want to achieve the following results?:

If the parent layer group has a [folder] tag and the child layer group also has a [folder] tag, then they are considered nested, as in the first screenshot I've attached. So if you want to avoid this, you should normally create a layer group for organization and have a layer group for each folder within it, as shown below:

If there is a reason why this does not work in your case, could you please explain it in more detail?

Are you using Spine's PSD import? It is newer than the PhotoshopToSpine script and has a few more tag options.

You can use a path starting with forward slash to ignore the [folder] tags from parent layers:

Yes, I am currently utilizing the PSD import feature in Spine. To ensure everything functions correctly, I have organized the Circulo HD and Rin HD folders together in the same directory, similar to the setup shown in the second screenshot of Misaki; that's how my screenshot is currently working, and how I want it to be.

I asked whether it was possible to reorganize my Photoshop document (PSD) by moving the folders named 'Circulo HD' into the 'Rin HD' folder. My goal is to streamline the structure so that I only have a single main 'Rin HD' folder instead of maintaining two separate ones in my PSD file.

However, I want to ensure that even after moving Circulo HD inside Rin HD, it still functions independently (I don't want the Circulo folder to be inside Rin when creating the PC folders). Specifically, I need Circulo HD to maintain its organizational integrity when importing into Spine, so that both the Circulo HD and Rin HD folders remain neatly arranged in the same PC directory.

I think the slash could work, could you give me an example of how to use it, Nate?

GuapoMan Thanks for the detailed explanation! You should be able to do what you want by specifying the path in the folder tag like this:
