I understand your frustration with having to reconfigure PSD import settings repeatedly. Good news - Spine already saves PSD import settings per project!
When you import a PSD file and then save your Spine project, the import settings are automatically stored with that project. When you return to that project later, you should see the same settings you used previously.
How it works:
Starting from version 4.3.30-beta, there's an improved workflow for PSD imports. Instead of using the main "Import PSD" dialog repeatedly, you can:
- Store your PSD files directly under the Images node in your project tree
- Each stored PSD remembers its own import settings
- You can store multiple PSDs per skeleton, each with their own settings
This means you don't need to reconfigure settings each time you want to re-import or update from a PSD file.
To set this up:
- Use the main
Import PSD dialog only for initializing new projects or creating new skeletons
- For existing projects, add your PSD files through the Images node
- The import settings will be remembered per PSD file within your project
This should make your workflow much smoother when working with multiple projects, as each project maintains its own PSD import configurations!
