Export spritesheet for animation?

The artist on our team told me about spine (I'm the gamedev) and it looks pretty slick, we're using the demo, but it doesn't let us export anything (I think a full-feature time-limited trial would be more effective cough).

Does spine export animations to sprite sheets with simple bounding/frame info files?

We're using a custom in-house HTML5 game engine so it'd be nice to have a spritesheet with each frame of animation prerendered and a tag-along json file w/ frame/timing info...

Yes, Spine can export an atlas (packed efficiently) or a spritesheet (grid). You can run the texture packer separately from Spine on your own images to see the output:

Be sure to set grid to true. It writes a simple line based format. You can also see example exports in the runtimes (data files + atlases). Also every example project included with all versions of Spine has example export files. These are atlases though, not spritesheets (grid). We should add spritesheets to the examples.

I'm researching spine and I'll buy a license if spine match my needs.

I'm trying spine trial edition but I can't see spritesheets examples.

I wanna see if I can handle spritesheets animation by action tags (i.e. "walk", "jump" kind of strings.) .
