pro lisence can't update

welp I happened to flatten my machine the same weekend 3.0 comes out and now I can't update spine. My install file only goes to 1.7.12 (even though I got Spine June 2015), and refuses to update in any form. How can we get an installer that will update?

What do you mean it only goes to 1.7.12? Please choose "Latest" on the Settings dialog, if that is an option. Can you post your spine.log file?

Windows: <user home folder>\Spine\spine.log
Mac: <user home folder>/Library/Application Support/Spine/spine.log
Linux: <user home folder>/.spine/spine.log

You can also try deleting the prefs.json file in the same folder as spine.log, but first please post your spine.log so we can see what is going on. The forum will redact your personal information.

I can select Latest in the settings, but when it tries to update, it says it's out of date and can only revert or cancel, and the only selection in revert is 1.7.12. Here is the spine.log:

Normally it shows a list of versions you previously used. Maybe you uninstalled or deleted your updates folder. We should allow a version to by typed. Anyway, as the message says, you need to use your Spine license link to download and reinstall the latest launcher.

This is from the installation file that i downloaded from my license link (which I had backed up). As I mentioned, I reinstalled windows, hence no previous versions.

Your log shows "Spine Launcher 2.2.05", which is the old launcher. You need to download the launcher again to get the latest version and reinstall.

BTW, yesterday we improved the update mechanism to allow you to type in a version to use.

If you have the same problem, you need to download the latest launcher. If you have a different problem, please post your spine.log.
