Export with transparent background?

Is it possible to export a sequence with a transparent background so I can compose seperately on After effects?

PNG did not work, when I open it on AE the format is not recognized.. I tried exporting as a .MOV file and that one worked.. but not the transparency.. when I save it as a png it asks for a background color http://imgur.com/I3Hwhmi

Sorry, I mean export as a PNG and choose Sequence. You are exporting as QuickTime and choosing PNG as the codec. We will likely support exporting a QuickTime video with alpha soon.
