It looks like my job for the rest of the year is making diagrams like this one:

Right now, whenever the 'ball' hits a different creature, I have to hand animate or copy/paste keys (are local position keys a thing?) to make it flash and react.
It would be much easier if I could just animate the 'hit' once on a child skeleton, then 'play' that hit animation on the skeleton when a certain frame is reached in the current dopesheet. This would also mean that once I replace the placeholder monster with a real monster, I can test it without having to re-animate every example.
I know this is outside the scope of the in-game work you do, but being able to 'play' an animation on an Attached Skeleton in the dopesheet would be very useful when you add that feature.
