BendDirection, as a field, is actually used as an int
in the IK solver.
It's just a checkbox in the UI because it makes more sense as a clickable checkbox than a number field you have to type in manually.
This is also why it's a checkbox in the Spine editor.
Just set .BendDirection
to 1
if you want the 2-Bone IK Constraint to bend clockwise to the parent bone.
Set it to -1
if you want it to bend counterclockwise.
I personally haven't tried setting it to any other number. No guarantees that it won't cause your computer to explode, or start mining bitcoin. I'll bring up that API weirdness with Nate.
