When attempting to export a project (ie.. JSON data) and we want to include the atlas (but they already exist from a previous export in that same directory), there is an error: Error packing images. An error occurred while packing the images. Error A region with the name body has already been packed.

It would be good (and save lots of time) if there was an option to overwrite the images.

I deleted your post about the same problem in the 3 year old thread.

Are you exporting into your Spine images folder? You should export to a different folder.

I've made a directory called "out" which is where it exports to. The problem does not happen if I keep the standard settings for scale & suffix, but when I attempt to add 2 scales (0.5 and 1) with suffixes (@1x and @2x) this error occurs.

Hmm. I don't see this problem, eg exporting spineboy with those texture packer output settings. Can you please email the problematic Spine project and images so we can reproduce the problem? contact@esotericsoftware.com

We got this fixed in 3.6.46. Cheers!

I'm still seeing this in 3.6.46 ESS. It only started 2 updates ago, perhaps? About a week ago, anyway.

The first export will work fine, but if I try and export to the same place again then it will give the error and not complete the export. Deleting the files before exporting solves the problem, but it is an unnecessary step that wasn't needed a couple of weeks ago.

It'd be great if you could look into it!

mlecce (the OP) never provided the project. We happened to see the problem with some other project and fixed it. I'm not able to reproduce the problem in 3.6.46. If you are seeing it there, can you please provide the Spine project file and images so we can see it happen? contact@esotericsoftware.com

Confirm. Same problem.
Os - Windows, standard Spineboy project.
Just export it twice into the same folder with atlas export (no matter binary or json). Second export fails.

I'm on Windows, tried to export the Spineboy project as suggested with binary, json, etc. it keeps exporting everything without a problem. can you provide a gif/video of the problem? if we can't reproduce it we can't solve it s:

Additional info:
You can reproduce this if enable scaling atlas option.
This is my atlas options:

This is the result of second export attempt
bug sample2.png

After second export I have one .atlas file and two .png files with same content in {export_dir}/1 folder.

Fil1577: You need to specify a suffix for the different size, otherwise Spine will notice it has already been exported.

Than I won't get what I want. Adding suffixes will cause creation of three different atlases in same export directory. An I need tree directories with names 0.5, 1.0, 2.0 which contains atlases with same names. It's more comfortable for our current pipeline. Renaming and copying files is an option, of cause, but fixing old functionality would be better.
