Graph editor like Maya.
I'm sure this has been raised before, but after working with the Maya graph editor for a few days just now:
Are there any plans on implementing a graph view like Maya?
The selecting of keys / tangents and the Middle mouse drag combination (select with left drag, middle-drag anywhere on screen to move selected thing, possibly constrained by modifier keys) is just such a pleasure to use.
This needs the graph/tweening handles in the same view as the dope sheet, and I realise this is not trivial. I just like really good UX, and Maya has that part down (other than being super overwhelming in other instances...).
Losts of animation love,

Yes, we plan to implement a value graph similar to the graphs found in programs like Maya, Max etc. I can't say when it will happen though since this is a very big task.
That is good news for me, thank you.
Is there a way I can contribute to the UX design of it?
I'm especially hoping for the middle mouse button thing I mentioned there
We'll take an initial crack an at it and adjust with feedback. Right click is pan in the dopesheet and editor views, so I imagine that would stay. Left to select things. Scroll wheel probably zooms. We don't tend to use middle click a lot, but it's an option (as well as left + right).
Sweet! Have you ever clicked around in Maya?
The exact thing I'd propose is:
• select a thing with left drag.
• then, wherever the mouse is, middle drag will move the selected thing.
Closely related to this is the scrubby zoom both photoshop and illustrator have since implemented, where dragging holding a combination of mouse button and keyboard keys would zoom in and out. I think scroll wheel zoom is nice, but offers less control than the whole mouse gesture thing.
/end of unsolicited feedback
Thanks!
