You need to download and reinstall Spine to be able to use 3.7 or 3.8. Click the link in the email you got when you purchased Spine to go to your Spine license page where you can download the latest Spine launcher. If you can't find that email, send us an email from the email address you used to purchase Spine: contact@esotericsoftware.com

Hi Nate, can you give me rough estimate on 3.8 RC release? Thank you, Marek.

Hi, can we have a small feature which is : Remember on what monitor was spine opened last time and open it there next time? Thank you, Marek.

Sure, done in 3.8.33-beta! We're nearing the end of the beta, just needs a little time to ensure stability with the latest changes. We're releasing 3.8 without the curve editor because it has some great stuff that we want to get in the non-beta releases ASAP, but the curve editor will follow!

Thanks Nate,

very much appreciated. :-) Do we need download new launcher for 3.8? I will switch our company to 3.8 to give you feedback before release as always. :-)

Have you been able to solve the multimonitor retina issues on OSX? I have actually two 4k monitors and 5k iMac.

How about detachable views so that we can drag them on other monitors?

Thank you again, Marek

PS: Our new websites are up and your Spine plays very important part in our company and growth. Thank you Nate.

It's in 3.8.33-beta, no launcher update is required. The launcher is ever improving though, so it doesn't hurt.

Proper retina support is still outstanding. We'll see if we can make it in 3.8. Multiple application windows will come in a later update, it's a big effort both for the windowing system / OpenGL and our view management.

Your websites are looking very good! Congrats!

Retina support is in 3.8.34-beta. It's great for fonts and the viewport images. The rest of the interface is still scaled, but it's a lot better. Scaling is controlled via the Interface scale setting. Likely 100% is too small, though the interface will be crisp. 200% looks OK and things are the right size. I don't recommend using anything besides 100% or 200%.

It's up now! Retina support is not as good as it could be, much of the interface graphics are not high resolution, but fonts and the viewport are. It's MUCH better than it used to be. :)

For some reason I can not drag the scale to be 200 I get always 199 or 201 and moreover I can not even type it since you have there some kind of calculation going on and to write there 200 is simple not possible. :-)

---

Solution... please validate the editbox after I press enter and not while I'm typing. :-)

Aye, we'll fix the input and put a detent at 200% so it's easier to hit. In the meantime, if you reset to defaults then it should set it to 200%.

I tried if Spine remembers on which monitor it was last opened but no luck. I drag spine on my right monitor. Close it. Open. BUT it will open on my iMac in the middle. :-)

Ah, Spine currently only remembers the monitor on Windows and Linux. You need to be more specific with your feature requests! ;) The Mac windowing system is different, but we'll look into remembering the monitor.

Would I be right to assume that 3.8 beta is nearing a stable release soon?

Yes, it is feature complete and we are just doing last minute changes for stability. It's already more stable than 3.7.94!
